1996 to April 1999   Fluor Corp.(Irvine CA office)- Process Engineer
· Prepared startup procedures for two cryogenic NGL Gas plants for Pemex
· Developed the Reformer unit revamp safety design for Amoco Salt Lake City refinery
· Designed the preliminary phase for the FCC expansion at the Amoco Salt Lake City refinery and at the Ultramar Wilmington refinery
· Developed the PROII simulations to expand the Crude unit for the Texaco Bakersfield refinery, the BHP-Hawaii refinery and the ARCO-Wilmington refinery
· Prepared the simulations to match plant data of the HF Alkylation unit for the Ultramar Wilmington refinery

1992 to June 1996   Jacobs Engineering (Long Beach CA office)- Process Engineer
· Designed a Cat Naphtha Hydrotreater and the safety facilities of a new C5/C6 Isomerization unit at the Chevron Richmond refinery
· Designed the changes required to operate the Hydrocracker and Hydrogen units in the RFG mode for the Texaco Bakersfield refinery
· Developed the revamp for the Arco Wilmington refinery oily water system, which concluded with the installation of three IGF Unicel units to replace DAF units
· Participated in the planning stage of the Delayed Coker expansion at the Texaco LA refinery

1980 to 1992   Exxon Refinery, Baton Rouge, LA- Process Engineer 
· Involved in the process design of the following projects:
Crude units heat integration
Expansion of two FCC units
Two Delayed Coker revamps
Two Sulfuric Acid Alkylation units expansions
Increase capacity and severity of several Naphtha and Distillate Hydrofiners
· Other activities:
Evaluated and assisted others in the use of computer simulating programs
Short and long term refinery planning
Troubleshooting operating units
Simulated the entire refinery flare system consisting in seven interconnected flares

1976 to 1980   Exxon Services Venezuela- Process Engineer at the Lagoven refinery
· Trained process engineers who provided technical assistance to the refinery
· Provided technical support to Sulfur plants, Lube Oil treaters and several other units

· Supervised the operation of hydrogen plants and computer control systems
